Cracker Barrel does not publish recipes for its menu items. However several recipes that claim to be reproductions of the Cracker Barrel double chocolate fudge Coca-Cola cake are available online.
The Coca-Cola company also keeps the recipe a secret but says the cake, invented in 1997, is made with real Coca-Cola and not Coca-Cola syrup. When it was first added to the Cracker Barrel menu the double chocolate fudge Coca-Cola cake was offered for a limited time only. However it proved so popular with customers that Cracker Barrel made it a permanent menu item. In 2012, the restaurant sold over 2 million slices of the popular dessert at its 622 restaurant locations, and it sells whole cakes when ordered in advance.
