How do you create an Algebra 2 Trig reference sheet?

To create an algebra II trig reference sheet, determine the important formulas and identities that you use most often. Place them on the sheet in an organized manner that is easy to follow. Creating a reference sheet requires knowledge of the material.
- List double angle functions
Include all commonly used double angle functions together on the reference sheet. Such formulas include sin(2x) = 2sinxcosx, cos(2x) = cos^2(x) - sin^2(x), tan(2x) = (2tanx)/(1 - tan^2x) and cos(2x) = 1 - 2sin^2(x).
- Add half-angle functions
In a separate category, list the common half-angle functions for sin(.5x), cos(.5x) and tan(.5x). For example, the formula for sin(.5x) is equal to plus or minus the square root of 1 - cos(x) divided by 2.
- List area formulas
Include all area formulas you use in algebra II trig exams. For example, the formula for the area of a triangle is 1/2 * ab * sin(C).
- Include trigonometric laws
List all commonly used trigonometric laws, such as the law of sines, law of cosines and law of tangents.
- List series sum formulas
Include all sum of series formulas that are used in algebra II trig, such as the formula for the sum of a finite arithmetic series and the sum of a finite geometric series.
