GasBuddy allows users to search for local gas prices and even has an app that lets users access gas prices anywhere in the country. AAA offers historical information about gas prices so users can compare what gas prices are today to prices weeks, a month or a year ago.

Users of the AAA site can see not only the cheapest gas prices, but also the prices for mid-grade, premium and diesel gas. At GasBuddy users can search by zipcode to find local cheap gas, but the AAA site only provides information by state.
