Investors can obtain current Treasury bill yields from barchart.com, Bloomberg, the Financial Times and the U.S. Treasury Department. These sources update information each business day. Barchart.com and the Financial Times include historical data for comparison.

Treasury bills are government securities with terms of less than a year, explains Treasury Direct. Typical maturities are one month, three months, six months and 12 months. These securities do not pay a coupon rate and are usually sold at a discount. An investor earns a return by purchasing the security below face value and receiving the face value at maturity. However, Treasury bills occasionally sell at par, which means that investors earn no returns on their investments.
