How do you delete recent searches?

To delete recent searches, click on the Preferences menu, then select the Privacy tab. Click on Settings, then click OK, making sure that the checkbox next to Form & Search History is checked. There are many different browsers, but this process works for the most commonly used ones.

1. Find the Privacy tab

   Click the Menu icon in the upper right corner of the browser window, or click the name of the browser on the menu bar. Click Preferences, then select the Privacy tab.

2. Find the Form & Search History checkbox

   Click on the Settings button, located to the right of the Clear History When Firefox Closes option. Make sure that the Form & Search History checkbox is checked.

3. Clear the search history

   Click OK, then exit Firefox completely. The search history is cleared when you open Firefox.
