Where is Delft located?

The city and municipality of Delft is located in the Netherlands. It lies to the north of Rotterdam and to the south of the Hague, which is the Netherlands' provincial capital.

Delft is a culturally rich city that is well known for its historic town center and scenic canals. One of its most famous products is Delft Blue pottery, also known as Delftware, which is named for its white-and-blue patterns. Delft was also home to two important historical figures, painter Johannes Vermeer and scientist Antonie van Leeuwenhoek. Visitors to Delft can tour Delftware factories or learn about Vermeer's life and works at the Vermeer Center.
