What does pressing *67 do?
By Forinfos - 26/02/2026 - 0 comments
Pressing *67 before dialing a number on the phone prevents the number from which someone is calling from appearing on the call recipient's caller ID system. Callers use this feature for one-time call blocking.
Callers use *67 because they sometimes do not want certain parties to know their phone numbers for a variety of reasons, but they do not necessarily always want or need their number blocked from caller IDs. However, *67 does not usually work on cell phones. The other type of call blocking available to land-line customers is per-line blocking, which blocks the caller's number to all caller IDs unless the caller presses *82 to unblock the number for a particular call.
