Why did Anne Frank call her diary "Kitty?"
By Forinfos - 23/11/2025 - 0 comments
Anne Frank called her dairy "Kitty" because she wants to think of the diary as being her friend so that it will be easier to write. The diary was a gift from her parents for her 13th birthday, and she took it with her when the family went into hiding from the Nazis during World War II.
Anne's diary was later published in more than 60 languages as "The Diary of a Young Girl," and has been made into several movies based on Anne's life in the secret annex in the Netherlands she and her family lived in for more than two years. Anne and her family were ultimately apprehended by the Nazis, and Anne died in Bergen-Belsen concentration camp from typhus.
