Jan Karon published her first book in 1994. The book became "At Home In Mitford" and was the beginning of a very successful writing career. This book was the first in her popular "The Mitford Years" book series. She began publishing children's books and nonfiction titles shortly after.
After retiring from her advertising job, Jan Karon began writing her first novel. She also began writing children's books. In 1998 she published the popular children's book "Miss Fannie's Hat" followed by "Jeremy: The Tale of An Honest Bunny." Some of Karon's other books for adults include "The Father Tim Novels" and "Pastures of Godlight: Father Tim's Favorite Quotes."
