U.S. President Barack Obama has not visited Pakistan during his time in office as of 2015. He has visited other countries in South Asia, including Afghanistan and India.
President Obama has said that he will not visit Pakistan until it stops allowing jihadist groups to operate within its borders. Although the United States and Pakistan are allies in counter-terrorism efforts, in 2013, the U.S. State Department named Pakistan a terrorist safe haven. Pakistan's unwillingness to crack down on jihadist groups has created instability and has deterred foreign companies from investing in the country.
George W. Bush was the last U.S. president to visit Pakistan. He visited the country in 2006.
