Where did "Rutherford" come from?

Jack Rutherford, the artist and teacher, was born in California. He became an artist at 11 under the tutelage of watercolorist Mr. Walline. At 23 he began studying with Karl Seethaler of the Long Beach Academy of Art. He now lives in Spain.

Jack Rutherford has taught and exhibited his works throughout the United States, Mexico and Europe. His works include oils and acrylics, prints, graphics, sculpture and collage pieces that are displayed on his website. His works have been exhibited worldwide at art shows in Spain and Mexico.
