Why did Sasha Alexander leave NCIS series?

Sasha Alexander, the actress who played Special Agent Kate Todd on NCIS, exited the show to explore other opportunities and to start a family of her own. She also reportedly admitted to a producer that she did not have the stamina to continue with the show.

The NCIS fan base has a wide fan base that was left stumped and seething when Sasha Alexander's character, Kate Todd, was killed off. Since leaving the show in May 2005, Alexander has gone on play a variety of roles ranging from TV Shows like 'Rizzoli and Isles' to movies like 'He's Just Not That Into You' and 'Yes Man.'
