Twitter officially went public on November 7, 2013. On that day, it began offering shares on the New York Stock Exchange.
Initially, Twitter shares sold for $26 each. Strong investor demand quickly raised the price to $45.10 per share, and as of December, 2014, Twitter shares sold for $37.17 each.
Since the beginning, Twitter stocks have increased and decreased in value, and with the creation and popularity of other online social networking sites, no one knows what will happen to Twitter stock in the future. However, the unique, fast-paced Twitter world doesn't show any signs of losing popularity, and the company's revenue continues increasing each year.
