What is the difference between plant and animal tissues?

One main difference between plant and animal tissue is that plant tissue has a cell wall while animal tissue only has a cell membrane. In addition, plant tissue contains chlorophyll, a substance that is absent from animal tissue.
Plant tissue comes in two types: meristematic and permanent. Comparatively, there are four types of animal tissue: epithelial, connective, muscular and nervous. Plant tissue has a stationary phase, does not require a lot of energy, has more dead cells and can make its own food. Animal tissue has locomotive phases and more living cells, requires lots of energy and cannot make its own food.
