By Forinfos - 24/11/2025 - 0 comments
The five classifications of fires are Classes A, B, C, D and K. Fires that fall under A, B and C are considered common types of fires, and D and K fires fall under the specialty category.
Class A fires deal with any kind of common flammable material, like wood or plastic. Class B fires deal with oil-based products that can sometimes reflash after being put out. Class C fires result from electrical equipment and wiring. Class D fires typically occur in industrial situations, because they involve the combustion of flammable metals. Class K fires are fires that are related to oil and grease.
