What are the different types of Phoenician ships?

The Phoenicians built two types of ships: trading ships and warships. Trading ships, known as gauloi, had rounded hulls and were steered with an oar-like blade. Warships were narrower and longer to accommodate more people and featured a bronze tip on the bow, used to ram other boats.
Phoenicians were an important maritime power from 1500 B.C. to 539 B.C., and their ships were very advanced. The ships continued to be used after the end of the Phoenician empire, and the Greeks and Romans imitated these designs in their own vessels. Phoenician ships featured carvings and paintings, meant to scare nearby enemy ships.
