Are there different types of veganism?
By Forinfos - 07/11/2025 - 0 comments
There are two approaches to veganism: dietary veganism, in which a person does not eat animal-derived products but may, for example, wear animal leather, and ethical veganism, in which a person eschews all forms of animal products. Both dietary and ethical vegans can be considered strict vegetarians in terms of diet.
The difference between the two forms of veganism comes down to a difference between the vegan's approach to the use of animal products for reasons other than food. For example, an ethical vegan would avoid using hair care products with glycerine in them because glycerine is derived from animal collagen, while a dietary vegan would not necessarily have the same qualms.
