Who discovered Neptune?

Neptune is said to be the first planet that was discovered with the use of math, and the planet's discovery was a process that involved the input of several people, including John Couch Adams, Urbain Jean Joseph Leverrier, Johann Gottfried Galle and Heinrich d'Arrest. Adams and Leverrier each did independent calculations that led to an accurate prediction of where Neptune might be, and Galle confirmed this prediction with the use of a telescope in 1846.
These men might not be the first humans ever to have seen and recorded this planet, however. According to MIT, Galileo may have observed Neptune with his telescope in 1613 but did not recognize it as a planet.
