What are dispersible tablets?
By Forinfos - 04/08/2025 - 0 comments
According to UNICEF, a dispersible tablet is a tablet of medicine that can be dispersed in a liquid, thus creating a homogenous liquid before the drug is administered to the patient. This delivery method allows for a more accurate dosage of drugs to young children.
Dispersible tablets need only a small amount of water or breast milk for administration. UNICEF states that this fact makes dispersible tablets easier to produce and distribute than standard liquid formulations of medications, which makes them more affordable to deliver. This type of tablet is also easy to dispense, which reduces the possibility of error.
