What are DMV traffic violation codes?
By Forinfos - 26/04/2025 - 0 comments
DMV violation codes allow drivers to see what traffic violations earn them points on their driving record, states DMV.org. If a driver earns too many points in a certain amount of time, he has his license suspended. Each state has its own set of DMV violation codes.
For example, the state of California has violations that count for one or two points. The state also has out-of-state violations that either count for one or two points. Some one-point violations include driving in the bike lane and illegal passing, while two-point violations include driving over 100 miles per hour and DUI, notes DMV.ca.gov.
