There are many different dollar bills that are valuable; however, one must know what to look for when evaluating dollar bills. As with any currency, the highest-valued dollar bills are those in uncirculated conditions.

Higher denominations garner higher premiums, but most notes in circulation are only worth their face values. If a person is looking for high premiums, he should look for high denominations such as $100 and $50 notes with a red seal. $100 red seal notes can have premiums as high as 20-40 percent. If one happens to have $2 Star Notes from Kansas City or Minneapolis, he can likely sell them for upwards of $100 apiece.
