As of Sept. 2014, Dominique Dawes is married to Jeff Thompson, a Catholic school teacher. They were married in April 2013 and have one child together.

Dominique Dawes is a retired gymnast who competed in the 1992, 1996 and 2000 Olympics. She earned three bronze medals and one gold medal. She also competed in several World Championships. She began training in gymnastics when she was just six years old. She has also worked in acting, modeling and production. Dawes has an older sister and a younger brother. She was appointed as co-chair on the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition in June 2010 by President Barack Obama.
