Who makes Dutch Boy paint?

Dutch Boy paint is a subsidiary company of Sherwin Williams, who acquired it in 1980. The company originated in 1907 as part of the National Lead Company. It was based on the "Dutch Process," a technique by two chemists that resulted in a superior method of creating paint products.

The company logo was inspired by 9-year old Michael Brady, who lived near the artist who was hired to create the now-iconic Dutch Boy. Since 1907, the logo has gone through six different renditions but still remains one of the most recognizable in manufacturing history.

Dutch Boy paint has also been an integral part of an historical legacy. It was used to paint the White House, The Hollywood Sign, Disney World and the Golden Gate Bridge, as well as naval aircraft carriers and battleships.
