What is Dwayne Johnson's ethnicity?

Dwayne Douglas Johnson's father is Black Nova Scotian while his mother is Samoan. Johnson was born in California and he has a family history of wrestling. His grandfather was professional wrestler Peter "High Chief" Fanene Maivia and his father was wrestler Rocky Johnson.

Initially, Johnson, known as "The Rock," planned to play in the National Football League, but he was unable to due to an injury. Instead, he became a professional wrestler, eventually winning numerous titles and championships, including winning the WWF/WWE heavyweight title six times.

Johnson has also made a career in acting, appearing in films such as "The Scorpion King," "Be Cool," "The Game Plan" and "Fast & Furious 6."
