What is the earliest know artifact of Native American history?

The Old Vero Man megafauna bone with a mammoth's image carved into its surface is the earliest existing artifact of Native American history. Other Old Vero artifacts and bones, now lost, were found between 1913 and 1916.

The Old Vero Man carved megafauna bone indicates Native American habitation in North America around 11,000 B.C. As of 2015, OVIASC, the city of Vero beach and the Indian River County Historical Society are working together to fund further excavation of the Old Vero Man site in hopes of excavating more artifacts for study and for carbon dating. Carbon dating technology was not available at the time of the original artifact finds.
