Does eating cheese give you nightmares?
By Forinfos - 20/05/2025 - 0 comments
Nightmares may be caused by many different factors, including snacks such as cheese or meals containing cheese eaten late at night. As food increases one's metabolism, the brain may become more active and trigger a nightmare, according to WebMD.
Some attribute the idea of cheese causing nightmares to "A Christmas Carol," the Charles Dickens tale in which Ebenezer Scrooge blames his nightmares on his consumption of cheese. A series of reports in Britain suggested that area cheeses served as catalysts for different types of dreams. However, surveys used to formulate these claims were administered by the British Cheese Board, according to the BBC.
