Does eating too much yogurt cause yeast infections?
By Forinfos - 18/12/2025 - 0 comments
Eating yogurt does not cause yeast infections; in fact, some people use it to prevent and even treat vaginal yeast infections. Yogurt contains live bacterial cultures that help restore the normal bacterial environment in the gut after antibiotic treatment, explains WebMD.
Some parents give yogurt to their children to help control persistent diarrhea caused by milk consumption. The live cultures that yogurt contains help build lactose tolerance in children and adults. Another reason for eating yogurt is that it helps reduce bad cholesterol in the blood. It may even help prevent colorectal cancer and sunburns; these claims, however, have not been thoroughly researched, according to WebMD.
