Does eBay sell puppies?

Ebay.com does not sell puppies. According to their guidelines, pets and most live animals can not be sold. However, one can both buy and sell pets, including puppies, on Ebay Classifieds.

Ebay restricts the purchase of live pets for humane reasons. Shipping live animals is restricted to shellfish; eggs that do not originate from endangered species, snakes, turtles, or migratory birds, and snails. The selling of these animals may be subject to state or federal permits.The sale of animals is allowed on Ebay Classified since the sales are based on those in a community and eliminates the need for live shipments.
