What does MBA stand for?

MBA is a common acronym that stands for Master of Business Administration. It is a post-secondary degree that prepares students in most important aspects of management like accounting, marketing, human resources and more.

An MBA is a master's degree, which means that students must first obtain an undergraduate degree before applying and being accepted into a program. There are hundreds of MBA programs across the United States and other countries. Not all programs are of the same quality or prestige.

The very first MBA program in the United States was offered by Dartmouth in 1900. Other notable schools followed shortly after with Harvard offering an MBA program in 1908.
