By Forinfos - 23/07/2025 - 0 comments
Current STAR tests have a reported reliability of between .86 and .92, with .60 being the level of reliability designated as "good" by the National Center of Response to Intervention (NCRTI). STAR tests are highly rated for progress monitoring as well.
Traditional written tests are quickly being replaced by new computer-based testing. This software adapts to student responses, tailoring the provided questions to the student's level of understanding based on the student's response history. STAR, part of Renaissance Learning, has been created to accurately measure students' successes and struggles in great detail to better allow teachers to tailor their instruction to students' learning needs.
