Add and Subtract, War and Accordion are good educational card games for kids. The games focus on improving mathematical skills, and each requires one deck of playing cards.

Add and Subtract is a two-player game which tasks children to add and subtract the values of cards in order to reach a target number. In War, players turn over cards and the highest number in each round wins. The player who finishes with all the cards, or has the most after a certain period of time, wins.

Accordion is a game which improves number-recognition skills. Players deal four cards and then select cards from a shuffled deck. If a card matches the suit or number of one of the dealt cards, it is placed in that pile. If it doesn't match, then it used to start a new pile.
