What are electric range covers made of?
By Forinfos - 17/03/2025 - 0 comments
Range covers are made of many different materials. Some are decorative, and some have additional uses. For example, covers made of aluminized steel or cast iron stay on during cooking to distribute heat to the cookware more evenly than the coils alone.
Many covers are only meant to hide the electric coils and may not be used when the range is on. These are typically made of tin, stainless steel or ceramic, and they may have a painted design, a chrome finish or a solid color. Some covers are made of glass and may be used as a chopping board or prep surface if the burners are not on.
