Is Electrolux a dependable brand for appliances?

Electrolux appliances are rated very poorly by consumers for reliability as of 2015, according to consumer advocacy website Consumer Affairs. The brand is rated as 1.2 stars out of 5 based on consumer ratings on the site.

In addition to poor consumer ratings for reliability, Electrolux appliances have some of the highest repair rates in the appliance industry. An estimated 45 percent of late-model Electrolux bottom-freezer style refrigerators require repairs at some point during their service lives, as reported by consumer advocacy website Consumer Reports. This poor reliability also extends to some brands owned by Electrolux such as Frigidaire, with those refrigerators having a 35 percent repair rate.
