What is "emf" in physics?

By Forinfos - 14/12/2025 - 0 comments

EMF is the abbreviation for electric and magnetic fields. EMF's are produced by the use of electrical power, and they are a type of radiation that are categorized as ionizing and non-ionizing.

Non-ionizing radiation is considered harmless to humans. This type of radiation is created by computers, cellphones and power lines. Ionizing EMFs are produced by some x-rays, ultraviolet light and gamma rays. Some studies have shown a connection between EMF exposure and childhood leukemia, while others have not. EMF detectors are used to identify EMF levels, and they are a popular tool used by ghost hunters since they believe ghosts create fluctuations in magnetic fields.
