As of 2015, the most efficient and expensive model of Trane heat pump available is the XV20i Variable Speed. This product can achieve SEER and HSPF ratings of up to 20 and 10 respectively. The XV20i also generates very little noise with a sound rating of 54 decibels. Between the XB13 and the XV20i is the XR15 heat pump which has a SEER rating of 16 and an HSPF rating of 9.5.
