As of 2015, there have been no proven sightings of the elusive sasquatch. Up to 95 percent of reported sasquatch sightings have been hoaxes, according to LiveScience. The Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization reports many alleged sightings, but none are verified with legitimate photographic evidence.
In North America, the alleged sasquatch may be called Bigfoot or skunk ape. In the Himalayas, the alleged creature is called Yeti or the Abominable Snowman. Approximately 30 percent of alleged sasquatch sightings occur in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. No clear pictures of the mythical beast exist, according to National Geographic Magazine.
