Salaries for enlisted personnel in the U.S. Air Force depend on the enlisted person’s rank and years of service. For example, an enlisted E-1 Airman Basic with two or less years of service earns $17,892 annually, as of 2015. There are nine ranks within the Air Force.
The more years of experience gained and the greater the rank, the higher the enlisted person’s pay. An E-7 Master Sergeant with over six years of experience earns $39,611 annually.
