Among the nomadic Tuareg, traditional clothing among adults consists of face-coverings or veils of cloth. The Fulani, meanwhile, another nomadic population of Niger, wear little clothing, generally preferring to adorn themselves with a variety of coins, beads, earrings, necklaces and colorful charms.
The Tuareg are generally situated between Mali in the west and Goure to the east. The Fulani are concentrated in the Dosso-Agadez-Maine-Soroa triangle. Both groups are known for their jewelry making, camel-hair textiles and leather bags, which they sell to tourists.
Elsewhere in Niger, used clothing sent from the United States is common as one of that nation's main exports to Niger.
