Examples of whole numbers include zero, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10 and so forth. Whole numbers are all of the counting numbers, plus zero. These numbers are not fractional, decimals or negative.
Whole numbers are positive integers that proceed to infinity. These numbers are sometimes called natural numbers because they are the type of figures people naturally use in mathematics.
Whole numbers continue counting infinitely upward because the number one can always be added to the previous number. These digits are added, subtracted, multiplied and divided. Formulas replace whole numbers with variables to create algebraic equations and calculus functions.
