When done three times a day, Kegel exercises improve bladder control in three to six weeks.

Urinary incontinence is a treatable condition where urine leaks accidentally from the bladder and may manifest as overflow, stress or urge incontinence, explains the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. Male incontinence usually results from nerve damage, such as from a stroke or Parkinson's disease, or from prostate disorders, such as with benign prostatic hyperplasia.
