As of 2016, three of the most expensive custom DeLoreans are entertainer Will.i.am's DeLorean, a DeLorean customized by West Coast Customs and one of the DeLoreans used in the "Back to the Future" movies. West Coast Customs also customized Will.i.am's DeLorean.

A video by GQ and rapper 2 Chainz profiles a customized DeLorean from West Coast Customs valued at over $500,000. Will.i.am's DeLorean, also from West Coast Customs, is said to be worth over $700,000. The Huffington Post reports that one of the seven DeLoreans built for the "Back to the Future" movies is worth $541,000, which is about $511,000 more than the un-customized version.
