Does a female family doctor cost more than a male family doctor?

There is not a widespread or data-backed conclusion on whether female family doctors cost more than their male counterparts. However, fees to patients depend on the doctor’s length of time in the career, location and whether they own a clinic or work for an organization.
Doctors are routinely paid for each service performed. Additionally, insurance companies and Medicare predetermine what they are going to pay for a service. So if physicians see more patients, they are able to make more per day. A 2013 study by the University of Montreal determined that male doctors see more patients during a day because female doctors tend to take more time with each patient.
