What are some flowers for shady areas?

By Forinfos - 02/03/2025 - 0 comments

Flowers that thrive in shady conditions include annuals such as fuchsia and lobelia as well as perennials like toad lily or bleeding heart. Shade plants need less than four hours of sunlight each day, preferably only in the morning and late afternoon.

The fuchsia makes an ideal hanging basket flower. It has pink, red and purple blooms. Lobelia is a trailing plant with profuse bloom flowers. Toad lily flowers are delicate white blooms with blue or purple streaks. Bleeding hearts have hanging pink or white heart-shaped flowers that grow from an arched stem. These four choices are all hardy in shade conditions.
