A foot reflexology diagram displays the reflex points on a human foot. There are more than 7,000 nerve endings on each foot. Each of these areas, known as reflex points, corresponds to a specific system, gland, organ or part of the human body, according to "The Dr. Oz Show."
Reflexology is a science that deals with the art of stimulating the reflex points in the feet to obtain health benefits, explains Head to Feet. Reflexologists believe that the majority of health problems have links to nervous tension and stress. In reflexology, applying pressure on the reflex points in the foot results in improved nerves and blood flow as a result of a stimulated nervous system and opened energy pathways.
