The Ford Mustang configuration utility allows buyers to specify the body style, engine, color and options for their custom Mustangs. However, some options are only available with certain trim levels. The configuration utility attempts to find a matching vehicle in the inventory of a Ford dealer located near a buyer, but it may be necessary to order a completely customized vehicle from the factory if a matching vehicle is not already in a dealer's inventory.
