What format should an addendum have?
By Forinfos - 19/10/2025 - 0 comments
An addendum to an existing contract should include an acknowledgement of the original contract agreement, the terms of the agreement's renegotiation, and any and all changes to the agreement. The addendum should be signed, initialed and dated by each participating party, and a witness, if the parties deem it necessary.
The Law Dictionary's website instructs addendum composers to reference the original deal, detail the changes that are occurring and make sure that no unintended changes or loopholes are created by the addendum. The website for AtYourBusiness has a useful contract addendum template that can be used by independent contractors, subleasers, buyers and sellers to create an airtight agreement.
