Ohm's law shows a linear relationship between the voltage and the current in an electrical circuit. It was named after German physicist Georg Ohm. Expressed as mathematical formulas V=I x R, R = V / I, I = V / R, Ohm's law uses "V" for voltage in volts, "I" for current in amps and "R" for resistance in ohms.
