The four largest countries in the Western Hemisphere are Canada, the United States, Brazil and Argentina. The Western Hemisphere is the half of the earth west of the Prime Meridian and includes North America, Central America and South America.
The North American country of Canada is the largest, covering 9,984,670 square miles, followed by its southern neighbor, the United States, at 9,826,675 square miles. The South American countries of Brazil and Argentina are next, having areas of 8,514,877 and 2,780,400 square miles, respectively.
These countries represent four of the 10 largest in the world. The others are Russia (largest), China, Australia, India, Kazakhstan and Algeria.
