Are freestanding frost free freezers available?

Chest and upright freezers are types of freestanding freezers that are available with a frost-free feature. The primary differences between the two models are the available storage space and the orientation of the door.

Chest freezers are accessed with a door that opens from the top. Because of the top opening, they typically have between 10 and 15 percent more storage space than upright freezers. Upright freezers open from the front, much like traditional refrigerators, but have less storage space. On average, upright freezers are more expensive than chest freezers. Even though upright models are pricier and have less storage space, frost-free features are more commonly available for them.
