What is a friction lab report?

A friction lab report is a lab report that describes the results of an experiment involving some aspect of friction, or the resistance of motion as two items move against one another. Lab reports contain detailed write-ups of the experiment and generally include an introductory, data, results and conclusion.

Three types of friction exist: dry fiction, fluid friction and rolling friction. When two solid objects move against one another, dry friction exists. When the objects are moving, it is kinetic friction. When they are still, it is static friction. Fluid friction involves the movement of air. Rolling friction involves an item rolling over a surface.
